• If you have been questioning the health of your relationship because of disagreements, dealing with cycles of highs and lows, or not understanding each other, you're in the right place.

I can help you figure out how to improve communication, build boundaries, find self-worth, and feel happier and healthier.

First, I work on addressing immediate symptoms by providing and practicing coping skills. Next, we look with curiosity and care into your past to see how it might be affecting you in the present.

Let's unpack your situation together and help determine your needs and goals.

  • As a trauma-informed clinician, I move at your pace, believe your story, and listen without judgment.

For CPTSD, attachment theory is the basis for my treatment, meaning we connect your childhood experiences to current triggers and conflicts.

For singular incident PTSD, I work on helping you to stabilize immediate, distressing symptoms to restore balance and safety.

I use evidence-based trauma treatment methods to facilitate reflection and healing. I approach sessions from a mindfulness and body-centered perspective, helping to reconnect the mind and the body.

  • Are you noticing feelings of overwhelm or panic? Having trouble calming your racing thoughts? Always worried about the worst case scenario?

Anxiety is your body’s reaction to your brain telling you something is wrong. I introduce cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) along with mindful, somatic body relaxation responses as the first line of defense and way to connect you back to equilibrium.

Then, we can explore further when your symptoms started and where your anxiety came from with the intention of building increased awareness, understanding, and ways to cope.

  • Depression is insidious. Your brain tricks you into believing that all of the cruel, mean things you think about yourself are true. Meanwhile, depression saps your energy and motivation, making reaching out for help incredibly hard. Using CBT, mindfulness, and behavioral activation techniques are a good way we can initially improve your symptoms.

The second layer, especially for chronic depression, is to approach from a psychodynamic, attachment-based perspective by challenging core negative beliefs from childhood. Additionally, we can explore your personal philosophical perspective to find deeper meaning and purpose in your life. This will help you connect with others and protect you from future episodes of depression.

  • I've previously worked with survivors of all ages, genders, races, sexualities, and religious backgrounds who have experienced domestic violence, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, sexual assault, and rape.

Recent experience includes working as a therapist at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, which means I'm familiar with the criminal court system and legal aspects of these issues as well.

Love is not supposed to be pain. Love is not supposed to leave you feeling powerless and stuck. Love *is* supposed to feel weightless, but grounded at the same time -- with a partner who lifts you up and also is there to catch you when you fall. I believe every person is deserving of a safe, loving, respectful relationship.

  • As a fellow mother myself, I very much relate to changes in mental health during pregnancy and postpartum periods. With anxiety and depression, we can use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to identify patterns of unhelpful thinking as well as locate any core negative beliefs that are being triggered.

I have a deep understanding of all the confusing aspects of new parenthood - breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, sleep issues, tongue ties, reflux, milestones and child development.

Additionally, new parenthood is incredibly important to do in community. "It takes a village to raise a child" and it also takes a village to support the parents! Let's find your support system.
